Dow Inc. (Dow) is a chemical company that produces various materials, and it was recently identified as the 2nd largest global producer of single-use plastic (SUP)-bound polymers, which can be transformed into any single-use plastic, from sweet wrappers to bottles to artificial Christmas trees. But plastic is a problem for the planet, and it’s a problem for Dow and its shareholders as market demand shifts and potential regulatory restrictions come into play. That is why shareholders are asking Dow’s Board to issue an audited report showing their plans to navigate the plastic pollution problem.
